Pitfalls © RSBlain
2005
Growing older has it's pitfalls,
Aging has a share of pain, There are things to miss that you may have done,
But discover what remains, Life after youth And the
youth of later life ... if you look for it
Life is what you make it Like a child needing fed, The best you
can afford to feed, Be lavish with the spread Look for joy in all
the little things That sit outside each door Jog and bounce around your
memories While building up some more
Be outgoing, smile and laugh Speak with firm
conviction Plant some seeds when time permits For any of your
wisdoms
Sing a song, tell a joke Where your voice may mean so much And
never turn away from sharing A warm and loving touch
You can't avoid all pitfalls
Like road hazards, they multiply
So top off any creeping depressions
With good humor and watchful eye
The simplest meal
Can be gourmet When
you share it with a friend. RSB
